“In this global context of agriculture and increasing need of nutrition, farmers need to be aware and these issues should be made easy for them to understand,” said  Shykh Seraj, director and host of the show, about why it was filmed in Africa this year.  “That's why I organised some interesting games which farmers of Uganda could enjoy, as well as learn about the importance of nutrition -- an issue of growing importance in the context of food security and food safety.”

Pillow fight, finding iron beans from Orange Flesh Sweet Potato powder, Iron bean race and climbing oily banana tree were the games Ugandan farmers enjoyed to the fullest in Kabwohe village in Mbarara district. Through these games, farmers were encouraged to take up planting nutritious crops.

“Some farmer groups have showed interest in replicating the Bangladeshi games in other regions of Uganda,” Shykh Seraj said. With the presence of senior government officials and local dignitaries and representatives, the show became lively and encouraging for male and female farmers present there. Ugandan national television will also air KEA dubbed in Swahili language.

Another part of KEA has been filmed in Nawabganj's Churain, near Dhaka. Alongside games like pillow fight, children's reverse run, find zinc-rich rice, reverse run for elders, climbing oily banana trees, there will be documentaries which bring up the highlights and attractions of Nawabganj.

KEA will air on the second day of Eid (September 26) at 4:30pm on Channel i.
