NO STOPPING MOUSHUMI

Popular actress Moushumi Hamid has become a familiar face in Gazipur's Pubile, where she is shooting for Sumon Anwar's new drama serial "Sukhi Nir Ganj.”
In the serial, she is an upfront girl whose family has been engaged in a longstanding feud with their neighbours.
“I'm now shooting only one drama serial. You cannot give your best when you try to do too many plays at the same time,” Moushumi told The Daily Star.
Meanwhile, Moushumi's acclaimed “Brishtider Bari”, where she plays the titular role is being aired on Banglavision. The story's lead character Brishti, who was thought to be lost in childhood, returns home. Complications arise when another young woman who claims to be Brishti also arrives on the scene.
Apart from this, she plays the role of a working woman in the play “Sangsar” directed by Golam Sohrab Dodul and in “Live in a Metro”, based on corporate life, directed by BU Shuvo.
Besides, she plays a restless village girl in Sanjeet Sarkar's “Gaya Mane Na Apni Morol”, now being aired on a private television channel. Another popular series “Alashpur” is also being telecast.
Currently, she is not doing any one-hour plays.
Critically-acclaimed “Jalaler Golpo” was her last film. She is not doing any new movies for now. "If I come across a good script I will do the film," said Moushumi.
However, she has taken on a new and exciting venture as
emcee for a programme on Gazi TV.
“I'm really enjoying my new venture,” said Moushumi.
