OxfordAQA appoints Shahin Reza as Country Director for Bangladesh and Nepal

OxfordAQA, a partnership between Oxford University Press and AQA, the UK's largest provider of GCSEs and A-levels, has appointed Shahin Reza as its first Country Director for Bangladesh and Nepal.
OxfordAQA has experienced rapid international growth and is now expanding its presence in South Asia, offering international schools a curriculum designed to develop critical thinking, collaboration, and applied knowledge skills.
Shahin Reza brings over 25 years of experience in managing UK qualifications in South Asia with various examination boards and the British Council. "I am honored to join OxfordAQA, which upholds a strong commitment to educational excellence by connecting two prestigious education brands – Oxford University Press and AQA. I look forward to collaborating with educators, school leaders, and stakeholders to make a meaningful impact," Reza said.
Andrew Coombe, Managing Director of OxfordAQA, welcomed the appointment: "We're excited to have Shahin Reza join our team. Expanding our presence in Bangladesh and Nepal allows us to offer globally relevant qualifications that bring out the best in every student."
OxfordAQA offers 22 GCSEs, 14 AS and A-levels, and two project-based qualifications designed to equip students with transferable skills for higher education and the workplace. It is the first international exam board to offer International GCSE Psychology and the only one to provide International GCSE Media Studies.
With its Fair Assessment approach, OxfordAQA ensures international students are assessed solely on subject ability. Examinations use clear language and culturally relevant contexts, aligning with UK standards.
OxfordAQA also provides extensive support for teaching staff, including year-round free webinars and teaching resources for each subject specification.
In addition to OxfordAQA, Shahin Reza will offer schools the full Oxford International Programme, which includes the Oxford International Curriculum—a comprehensive framework from Early Years to Lower Secondary.
Introduced in 2021, the Oxford International Curriculum is used by over 150 institutions worldwide, supporting more than 100,000 students. Covering English, Maths, Science, Computing, Wellbeing, Global Skills Projects, and Sustainability, it integrates wellbeing and sustainability into core subjects, equipping students with future-ready skills.
