DEEPIKA PADUKONE: reveals why biopics don't interest her

Biopics have been a current favourite with Bollywood filmmakers for a while now. From Mary Kom to the recent Sanju, directors cannot get enough of the real-life stories on the silver screen. With each passing day, a new biopic is announced.

When Deepika Padukone was recently asked about her take on biopics, the actor told a leading Indian daily, "I feel like there are too many biopics being made. In the last few months, I can't count the number of biopics that we've been offered. And they're all great; they're very strong and powerful.",

She added, "But when it comes to a film, after a point, how much are you going to tell me about those struggles? Even a common man on the street has had a similar journey, if you ask me."
