Nipun's big screen return

Two films of National Film Award winning actress Nipun -- “Shovoner Shadhinata” directed by Manik Manabik and “Swargo Theke Norok” by Dr Arup Ratan -- are set to be released this month.

“Shovoner Shadhinata” is a film for children based on the Liberation War. In the movie, Nipun plays the sister of Shovon.

On the other hand, “Swargo Theke Norok” is about the dark world of drugs that wreaks havoc on young peoples' lives.

“The plots of the two movies are very different,” Nipun told The Daily Star.

“In 'Swargo Theke Norok', I play a drug- addicted ramp model who is later able to come out from that life,” she said.

Besides the two projects, the actress has signed a new film “Bayanno Theke Ekkator”, directed by Delwar Jahan Jhantu. Ferdous is her co-artiste in the movie.

On December 20, Nipun will fly to London to celebrate the New Year with her daughter Tanisha, who studies there.
