BRSSS holds an evening of Rabindra Sangeet

An evening of Rabindra Sangeet marking the end of spring took place at Sherpur Shilpakala Academy auditorium on March 18.

Sherpur unit of Bangladesh Rabindra Sangeet Shilpi Sangstha(BRSSS) arranged the programme with the theme “Sobar Sathe Milao Amay, Bhulao Ohongkar”.

District president of BRSSS Nirmal Kumar Dey presided over the programme. Educationist Professor Sudhamoy Das, Sherpur DC, A.M Parvez Rahim, city mayor Golam Mohammad Kibria and central president of BRSSS, Tapan Mahmud spoke at the event.

The event began with a choral rendition of 'Akash Bhora Tara'r Chhoya”. Following the presentation by local artistes, eminent artistes Tapan Mahmud, Salma Akbar, Bula Mahmud and Sajed Akbar enchanted the audience with their melodious performance.
