Chanchal Khan's Tagore album “Maharaj” released
Tagore singer and researcher Chanchal Khan released his latest Rabindra Sangeet album, titled “Maharaj” at the Channel i premises on Saturday, says a press release.
Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor launched the album as chief guest. Tagore researcher and Language Movement veteran Ahmed Rafique, author Selina Hossain, eminent cultural personality Mafidul Haque and Tagore singer Sadi Muhammad were present at the ceremony, among others.
The album, released under the banner of Impress Audio Vision, contains 10 songs. Rahul Chatterjee has arranged music for the album, which is sponsored by Igloo.
Channel i senior programme manager Amirul Islam delivered welcome speech at the programme. Noted singers Sadi Muhammad and Sajed Akbar discussed on the album.
Chanchal Khan is a disciple of eminent music teachers Waheedul Haque, Sanjida Khatun and Debabrata Biswas, and has so far released eight albums. He has also made two documentaries on Rabindranath Tagore.
