CRACK International Art Camp 2019 concludes

The 13th edition of the CRACK International Art Camp (CIAC) 2019 concluded on December 30 through an open exhibition. The week-long creative journey started in Smaran Matshya Beej Khamar in Kushtia, Bangladesh on December 25. Around 20 artists from 4 countries joined this international art camp. Artist and curator Professor Suresh K. Nair from India curated this edition of CIAC. Participating countries are Japan, India, Russia and Bangladesh.

Sameen Yeasaar (Bangladesh), Nazmul Hossen Nayon (Bangladesh), Poly Layla (Bangladesh), Reiko Shimizu (Japan), S. M. Reyad (Bangladesh), Sadia Sharmin (Bangladesh), Semina Israt (Bangladesh), Sutapa Borman (Bangladesh), Subhash Kumar Maskara (India), Shirin Shaikh (India), Shakti Noman(Bangladesh), Tamiko Takahsai (Bangladesh) and Urmila Banu (India).

The participating artists utilised local materials and surrounding environment in their projects. They worked with this year’s art camp theme, Roots, in their site-specific and conceptual artworks. Art lovers and local community people joined the artists on the open day to see the artworks and meet them at the camp site in Kushtia.
