For the first time in Chittagong, a hip-hop fest entertained hundreds of youths of Chittagong with eye-catching dance moves and rap performances, on Monday evening.

The festival was organised to raise fund for the treatment of Sadia, a three-year old girl who is suffering from Glycogen Storage and needs her liver transplanted. However, her family member cannot afford the high cost, and thus volunteers came forward and started a campaign from November 1, 2015.

So far they have collected Tk 19 lakh but are still 11 lakh short, said Ruba Badrun Nahar, who coordinated the Save Sadia Event in Chittagong. As a result, they decided to raise the remaining money through the hip hop fest in the city's Muslim hall.

The performers who presented hip-hop dance at the programme were O2 Street Dance Crew J5 (Jack Imran), Munir and Jewel, Arnav AB and Saqlain. Rap music was performed by groups of Dhaka and Chittagong-- Sureno Military, WOC, MC Mihad, MC Efaz, Band De Tricks, Cyanide, DJ Titun and MC Kawsar.
