Nobanno Utsab in Mymensingh

In observance of Nobanno Utsab, Mymensingh district administration organised a day-long programme at Baishakhi Moncha of  Zainul Abedin Park on Tuesday evening.

The day's programme included a discussion, pitha festival, cultural programmes.

Artistes of Mymensingh Zila Shilpakala Academy, Mymesningh Shishu Academy and Sandipon Sanskritik Sangstha took part in the cultural shows.

Indigenous artistes of Mymensingh Mohila College took part in dance sequences attired in their traditional costumes.

The celebration also witnessed ghetu gaan and baul songs that entertained the huge audience gathered at the venue. Poetry recitation was the other attraction of the festival

Earlier, a discussion was held.

Mymesingh Divisional Commissioner GM Saleh Uddin, Deputy Commissioner Md Khalilur Rahman, Mymensingh Police Superintendent Syed Nurul Islam addressed the opening ceremony, among others.

Poet Anwara Sultana anchored the event.
