Embassy of France hosts art exhibition

The Embassy of France in Bangladesh hosted an artistic exhibition at the Residence de France in Dhaka on March 26 to pay homage to the country and its people in the course of celebrations for National Independence Day. The guest artists were Bipasha Hayat and Ratnashwar Sutradhwar.

The event began with a speech by French Ambassador, Sophie Aubert. She said the French Embassy was proud to promote and strengthen cultural ties between the two countries. She said she chose art as a medium because she believed that the French and Bangladeshi people share a creative spirit.

Chief Minister of Cultural Affairs, Asaduzzaman Noor added a few a few cordial words. Subsequently both artists shed light on their contemporary paintings that complemented the walls of the residence.
