“Emerged From Unknown VII” begins at Drik Gallery
To create awareness of autism and develop the latent talents of specially-abled children, HANS, in partnership with Surf Excel organised an eight-day painting exhibition at Drik Gallery in the capital.
The exhibition titled “Emerged From Unknown VII” was inaugurated on August 7. Chairman of HANS, Meer Sohrabul Hossain; Professor Abul Barq Alvi of Institute of Fine Arts, DU and Zaved Akhter, brand building director of Uniliver Bangladesh were present at the inauguration ceremony among others.
The exhibit features 120 paintings by special children from different schools and organisations including Autism Welfare Foundation, SWID Bangladesh, Smiling Children, Bangladesh Protibondhi Foundation and School For Gifted Children. The paintings range from bucolic landscapes to lifestyles to abstract works. The exhibition brings forth the power of imagination of the child artists.
The exhibit will run every day from 3-8pm till August 14.
