Homage to Bangabandhu

Gallery Cosmos has organised a group art exhibition titled “Art Against Terrorism - BRAVE HEART” to commemorate the 41st National Mourning Day.

The exhibition, an artistic tribute of 78 contemporary artists on the 41st death anniversary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahaman, was inaugurated on August 19 at Gallery Cosmos, New DOHS, Mohakhali.

Asaduzzaman Noor, Cultural Affairs Minister, inaugurated the exhibition as chief guest, who also launched an exclusive book with the works of the participating artists. A total of 35 artworks of 35 artists are on display at the show while 78 artworks on Bangabandhu by 78 artists have been published in the book.

The participating artists at the show include Samarjit Roy Choudhury, Hamiduzzaman Khan, Kalidas Karmakar, Tajul Islam, Abdul Mannan, Biren Shome, Shahabuddin Ahamed, Alakesh Ghosh, Farida Zaman, Naima Haque, Jamal Ahamed, Nasreen Begum, Rokeya Sultana, Shishir Bhattacharjee, Sheikh Afzal, Nisar Hossain, Moniruzzaman Monir, Kanak Chanpa Chakma, Gulshan Hossain, Nasima Khanam Queenie, Samiran Chowdhruy, Anisuzzaman Anis, Rashid Amin, Mustafa Zaman, AloptoginTushar, Maksuda Iqbal Nipa, Bishwajit Goswami, Bipasha Hayat and Shulekha Chowdhury.

The exhibition will remain open from August 19 to August 31 daily from 12 noon to 8pm.
