Nepal – Resilience and Reasons
Noted photographer Abir Abdullah's solo photography exhibition “Nepal -- Resilience and Reasons” will open this evening at Gallery Chitrak in the capital.
The exhibition, curated by Aninda Kabir Avik, features 90 powerful photographs on the aftermath of the devastating earthquake that killed more than 10,000 people and injured more than 18,000 in different parts of Nepal. The tremor left the entire world speechless, while ruining historical city Kathmandu, its temples, towers and valleys.
Eminent architect-poet Rabiul Hossain, renowned photographer Nasir Ali Mamun and Associate Press (AP) Bangladesh Bureau Chief Julhas Alam will inaugurate the exhibition.
Apart from documenting Nepal, the displayed photographs will prepare for such calamities, since Bangladesh also lies in the danger zone.
The exhibit will run every day 10am-8pm till June 11.
