Actor Abdul Jalil passes away

Veteran actor Abdul Mohammad Abdul Jalil is no more. The actor breathed his last at the age of 76 on Saturday morning at Central Hospital in the capital's Dhanmondi. He was laid down to rest at the private burial ground at Jurain, says a press release.

Veteran actor Abdul Mohammad Abdul Jalil is no more. The actor breathed his last at the age of 76 on Saturday morning at Central Hospital in the capital's Dhanmondi. He was laid down to rest at the private burial ground at Jurain, says a press release. 

During his career, Jalil acted in many films and television plays. His powerful acting in Bangladesh Television's popular serial “Tri-Ratna” stays in the hearts of many television viewers of that era. Late Ashish Kumar Louho, Abdul Jalil and Khan Jainul were Tri-Ratna (three jewels) of Bangladesh Television's first comedy play "Triratna".

Jalil is mostly remembered for his outstanding acting in films “Moynamoti”, “Pitch Dhala Path” and “Modhur Milan”.

The actor was GM Meghna Petroleum and former consultant of British Petroleum, (Middle East).
