“Bhuban Majhi”, Fakhrul Arefeen's directorial debut connecting the Liberation War to today's generation, has launched an innovative campaign, calling on people to share their personal moments of patriotic inspiration. The campaign, titled “Amar Potaka Amar Bangladesh”, asks fans of its Facebook page to write or record a video sharing the moment when they felt this country and this flag belonged to them. The 100 best entries will get a chance to watch the premiere of the film with the cast and crew of the film – including Parambrata Chatterjee, Aparna Ghosh, Quazi Nawshaba Ahmed and Maznun Mizan.

In a promo video for the campaign, the cast and crew of the film shared their moments of inspiration, and the campaign has already received a large number of emotional entries, director Fakhrul Arefeen told The Daily Star. “The film connects two stories, one from 1970 and the other from 2013 … and we don't want it to be just a film. We feel like the relationship between us and the audience is not just by a ticket, but of a deeper connection,” he added. He also said the team is planning more promotional activities to inspire and engage the youth, in coming days. The campaign has had field days at TSC of Dhaka University, and is moving to a number of public and private universities.

The campaign is set primarily to run till December 31, with the film tentatively set for release in March. It is produced by Forai Films and Reflect Multimedia Communications.
