First song from “Icecream” released

The first full song from Redoan Rony's upcoming film “Icecream” has landed online, and is already receiving positive feedback. The song, titled “Poth”, has been written, composed and sung by Minar Rahman, with music arrangement by Sajid Sarkar.

The melodious, melancholic song was released as a well-made lyric video on Youtube, and promises a fair bit about the film, at least musically. Fuad Al Muqtadir, Armeen Musa, Arafat Mohsin, Pavel Areen and Minar Rahman have done music for the film, while Arnob, Armeen, Sumi and Minar have sung. 

The first teaser of the film, released March 13, features an Arnob song, and at first glimpse the film looks like Rony has gone back to his forte of telling stories through a young cast, in what appears to be a triangular love story. The cinematography is fantastic and the treatment looks very contemporary, with a leading cast of newcomers Razz, Tushi and Uday. Parveen Sultana Diti (who passed away this week), ATM Shamsuzzaman and Omar Sani are also on the roster. 

The film, under the production of Ping Pong Entertainment, Popcorn Films and Top of Mind, is slated for release on April 29.
