“Under Construction” makes it to the top

The film's lead character, played by Shahana Goswami of India, secured the Best Actress award at the festival.

Under Construction” is the story of a modern Muslim woman's struggle to carve out a future in urban Bangladesh and her quest to become independent.

The Audience Award for the Best Film and Best Short Film went to “The Island of Wind” by director Manuel Menchon, and 'Once' co-directed by Maria Guerra and Sonia Madrid.

The RTVA award for best photography was secured by George Todria for “Lost Village” which also secured the jury prize for the best feature film.

Earlier this year, “Under Construction” won three awards at the Festival International des Cinemas d'Asie de Vesoul in France.
