Legendary Bangladeshi film actor Razzak was honoured in Kolkata's 16th Tele Cine Awards on Sunday with the Lifetime Achievement award. Renowned actor from West Bengal, Ranjit Mallick, was also conferred the recognition on the same stage. The event was organised by audio label company Dhruba Music Station.

West Bengal's Minister of State for Women and Child Welfare and Social Welfare Dr. Shashi Panja handed the awards to the celebrated recipients. “I would like to express my gratitude towards all who supported me, and enabled me to receive the award in my birth-place. I have earned the most prestigious awards for my work in Bangladesh, as well as the people's love. Having done a few films in Kolkata as well, I am familiar with the artistes here. I hope everyone remains hale and hearty,” said Nayak Raj Razzak.

“It gives me great pleasure to stand alongside Nayak Raj Razzak to receive the award,” added Ranjit Mallick, “I am meeting him after a very long time and I would like to thank all those who arranged the event, and have supported us till this moment.”
