“Dhaka Attack” has been branded as the 'first cop thriller of the country' and the first teaser, trailer and poster have all promised to be a full-blown crime-action bonanza, but turns out, the film has a softer side too.

“Tup Tap”, the second released song of the Dipankar Dipon-helmed upcoming film, was released on Sunday night, and audiences can't seem to have enough of it. Arifin Shuvo and Mahiya Mahi's chemistry is electrifying, set against gorgeous backdrops of beaches in Malaysia and some fantastic (albeit formulaic) cinematography. Inside the first 24 hours, the video racked up over 3.6 lac views on YouTube, with the comments showering praise for it. Shuvo looks the part as a hopeless romantic while Mahi oozes glamour -- and the duo just click right on.

The mushy, melodious number marks the Dhallywood playback debut for West Bengal's Arijit Singh, an unsurpassed authority of romantic film songs of the subcontinent, and along with compatriot Somlata Acharyya he makes the song as easy on the ears as it is on the eyes. The music by Arindom is also neat and minimalistic, letting the voices shine. The hook is catchy, following the infallible pop music trick of being simple and repetitive. That said, the music does have a faint but distinctive Tollywood-ish flavor -- naturally so, because the entire song is produced by West Bengal-based artistes – but that is not essentially a complaint.

The first released song of the film, the popular number “Tikatuli” by Motin Rahman, was shared as a lyric video at the end of last month and also has over 4 lac views up till now, and with the release of “Tup Tap” there is assurance that there will at least be ample musical variety in the film.

The film, also starring Shatabdi Wadud, Afzal Hossain, Alamgir, ABM Sumon, Nawshaba, Shipan Mitra, Syed Hasan Imam and others, has been written by additional superintendent of Bangladesh Police Sunny Sanwar and is produced by Splash Multimedia, Three Wheelers Ltd. and Dhaka Police Paribar Kallayan Samity Ltd.

“Dhaka Attack” is set to storm theatres October 6.
