Marvel Studios yesterday released the first teaser trailer and poster for 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2'.

The sequel continues the team's adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians this time unravel the mystery of Peter Quill's true parentage, while they must fight to keep their newfound family together.

This time the team also makes new alliances with their old enemies, while fan-favorite characters from the classic comics come to their aid as the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to expand.

The movie will star Chris Pratt as Star-Lord; Zoe Saldana as Gamora; Dave Bautista as Drax; Karen Gillan as Nebula; Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot; Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket; Michael Rooker as Yondu; and Sean Gunn as Kraglin. Other new cast members include Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, Chris Sullivan and Kurt Russell.

‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’ is directed and written by James Gunn and produced by Marvel Studios’ president Kevin Feige, with Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Jonathan Schwartz, Nik Korda and Stan Lee serving as executive producers.

The film will hit the theaters on May 5, 2017.
