Chanchal Chowdhury took his first steps into the realm of acting in theatre, but has come all the way from TV to the big screen. The National Film Award-winner is all geared up for another big release today: Amitabh Reza's “Aynabaji”. In a recent conversation with The Daily Star, the actor talked about his new film and more. Excerpts:

Reasons why audiences should go to cinema halls to watch “Aynabaji”?

Chanchal: Firstly, it is a good story and Bangalee audiences always want a good plot. Secondly, the film is Amitabh Reza's creation and people have confidence in his work. It's a combination of a lot of good things, and people must go to watch the movie.

Tell us about your mysterious role in the film?

Chanchal: I've portrayed a few different characters in the film and the audience will see different shades of me.

What reactions have there been to the trailer and promos?

Chanchal: We're getting really good response. Those who watched the film's teaser have been very positive. The social media has played a big part in spreading the word.

It must have been very challenging to play different characters?

Chanchal: It was really challenging because you have to make a big effort to portray even one character, and here an individual has to portray multiple roles. But I tried to overcome such hurdles with support from the director.

How would you look back on the experience of making “Aynabaji”?

Chanchal: I got tremendous intellectual satisfaction from working in this film. We spent a long time filming, and the director helped me a lot to bring my role to life.
