Fima: Reminiscing on the golden days
Nuzhat Islam Fima is known to the audience as the host of the first season of hugely popular musical reality show “Close-up 1”. She never intended to be a model-actress but destiny brought her into spotlight, she told The Daily Star.
Why have you been lying low in the media?
Fima: I have been a part of the media for long. But I feel that as a wife and a mother, I should spend time with my family. This is the sole reason why you don't see me in the media any more. Family comes first.
How did you join showbiz?
Fima: I never intended to be a model and an actress. My journey in the media began in 1994, as a soap model. I was only in grade 12. After that, I was out of the country for six years, in Delhi. When I came back to Bangladesh, I was requested by Shykh Seraj to work at Channel i. From there, I started to get offers for drama and modeling.
Any memorable experiences in your career?
Fima: I have left the glamour world but I still have amazing memories and experiences that I can recall. For instance, a scene of the series “Aaguntuk” was shot in a bus. That's an experience I will never forget.
