“It's like waiting for my SSC result all over again”
Popular television host and model Nabila is super excited with her debut film “Ayanabaji”, set for release today. The actor talked about her new venture and more in a recent conversation with The Daily Star.
What's your expectation from “Ayanabaji”?
Nabila: Expectations are certainly high, as the entire team of the film worked really hard behind it. Nothing will make me happier than seeing audiences flocking to the cinemas to see the film.
From TV anchor to heroine... how was the transition?
Nabila: I still feel uncomfortable introducing myself as heroine. I would much rather say I have acted in the film.
Tell us about your character in the film?
Nabila: I played the role of an ordinary girl named Hridy, who is very creative... very much a girl-next-door. During the film, I really got into character. I felt like I was Hridy herself.
Was it hard for you to act on big screen for the first time?
Nabila: At first, I was a bit nervous, but director Amitabh Reza helped me a lot. Before the filming, I did rehearsals and workshop on acting. I adjusted myself so well with the character everyone at the unit started calling me Hridy.
You have put in so much work in the film, and it comes out tomorrow. How are you feeling?
Nabila: It is thrilling, exciting, and a little bit nerve-wracking. It's like the result day for my SSC examination all over again.
Any memorable moments during the shoot for the film?
Nabila: There are so many unforgettable moments in the three months of shooting. I had to go to the kitchen market, and the Kashimpur jail. In the last scene, I was very emotional. I could not hold back my tears.
