MANY HAPPY RETURNS TO MIM!

National award winning actor Bidya Sinha Mim has her beginnings in film before moving onto the small screen. The actor also has modeling experience under her belt, and has garnered much popularity over the years. Today is the busy star's birthday, and she shares her memorable birthday experiences as well as other stories with The Daily Star.

What were the most memorable birthday celebrations in your life?

Mim: The best birthdays to have happened were during my childhood. Birthdays were celebrations then, with lots of preparation going on, and that is something I miss today.

After becoming a celebrity, what has been the most memorable birthday experience for you?

Mim: I have had quite a few birthdays after becoming an actor, and each one had been different and therefore special in their own way. One that stands out in particular is the time when my birthday was during Ramadan. We had been working on a film release then, and I spent my birthday in an orphanage where we shared a meal together during Iftar. That is something I shall always remember.

What do you love receiving most on your birthday?

Mim: I am not that particular about gifts, but I love it when someone lovingly presents me with flowers, or greets me fondly. Love is everything, and there cannot be a bigger gift than that.

What are your plans for this year's birthday?

Mim: I do not have much of a plan. I am going to spend the day with my family, and I know that as soon as the clock strikes one minute past midnight, my family will gather together to cut a cake. It is something they do every year, and I look forward to spending the day with my family very much.
