“Next weekend we're going to Sylhet”
Ever since her participation in “CloseUp 1,” singer Noureen has become a familiar face and amassed a loyal fan base. Currently busy with stage shows, audio albums and playback singing, the singer shares snippets of her life beyond her career with The Daily Star.
How do you usually spend your weekend?
Noureen: Sometimes my weekends are interrupted by different programmes and shows, but I go out with my husband whenever I have the time. Next weekend we're going to Sylhet.
What is your favourite weekend dinner?
Noureen: I prefer eating at home usually, and my favorite food is khichuri.
What goals would you like to accomplish during your lifetime?
Noureen: I've always had this dream to open up a retirement home for senior citizens. I don't know how realistic it is, but it's something I'd like to do.
Who do you look to for inspiration?
Noureen: Before marriage, my parents have been my primary inspirations throughout my life, and now it's my husband: these three individuals have supported me and stood by me throughout my life.
What is your favourite ice cream flavour?
Noureen: I don't get to eat a lot of it, but my favourite flavour would have to be mango.
What are your favourite hobbies?
Noureen: I love listening to music and cooking.
What projects are you currently working on?
Noureen: Right now I am working on some mixed albums, which involves duets with singers such as Belal Khan, Rajon Shah and Amit Chatterjee. The release dates and album titles have not been fixed yet. Other than that there are stage shows, and I'm quite busy with my day job as well.
