Tareen's big day

Tareen is a TV actress of extraordinary talent and commitment. She's been raking in super reviews and won much goodwill in the industry. Today, July 26 is marked as the noted actress' birthday. In a conversation with The Daily Star the actress shares her birthday plans and more:

What are your birthday plans?

Tareen: I never plan my birthdays. Every year my family plans a surprise for me. I prefer not to work on my birthdays and try to enjoy some precious time with my friends and family.

How do you feel when your birthday comes around?

Tareen: I feel great! I love the way my friends and family start wishing me at midnight. Also it often happens that people who I never expect to wish me go out of their way to do so. Phone calls, flowers, text messages and gifts pour in and make me wonder if I am worthy of so much love and blessings.

Any childhood memories of a special birthday?

Tareen: I treasure my childhood birthday memories, particularly when we were in Comilla. As the youngest of four sisters, my birthday was always been celebrated in a big way. One year they planned a birthday where the dress code was white. They made me wear a white Cinderella gown with a tiara. That is one of the best birthday memories.

Any memorable incident on your birthday after you became a celebrated actress?

Tareen:  I remember in 2012 my solo album “Akash Dibo Kakey” was  launched by legendary singer Runa Laila. Last year too my birthday turned out to be a very special occasion, as two of my sisters who live abroad were here with me.
