Playback singer Lata Mangeshkar has been honoured with the 'Legendary Award' by Brand Laureate.

Playback singer Lata Mangeshkar has been honoured with the 'Legendary Award' by Brand Laureate.

Bangladesh's Nobel Laureate and Grameen Bank founder Mohd Yunus is among the past recipients of the Brand Laureate Legendary Award that recognises world-class achievement in branding among individuals and companies.

"Heartfelt thank you to "The Brand Laureate" for honouring me with the "Legendary Award" 2017," 87-year-old Lata Mangeshkar  posted on her Twitter handle alongside the pictures of the award.

Among others honoured by the award in the past are former South African president Nelson Mandela, Indian businessman Ratan Tata, late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, Facebook CEO Marck Zuckerburg and F1 ace Michael Schumacher.

In 2012, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was honoured with the Brand Laureate Legendary Award for his contribution to Indian cinema.
