Rumana and Shanila

Legendary composer, actor and filmmaker Khan Ataur Rahman left behind a progeny of musical talents, significantly noted singers Agun and his sister Rumana Islam. Today, Rumana's daughter Shanila is following the same path, and has composed and written a new song. Impressed by her daughter's prowess, Rumana has embarked on new musical project, where she is slated to appear in a music video alongside her daughter.

Rumana Islam is set to work on “Amar Thakto Jodi Pakhi'r Moto Dana”, a song by her mother, which she covered in her solo album titled “Astitto”; and “Joto Jai Bolo”, composed by her daughter. Directed by Manju Ahmed, filming took place on December 29 in scenic Diyabari located in the capital's Uttara.
