“Moder Gorob Moder Asha” launched
Music album “Moder Gorob Moder Asha” presented by Bengal Foundation was recently launched at Bengal Boi, Lalmatia in the capital. The album features 10 songs by promising artiste Sifayetullah Mukul, composed by three eminent poets -- Atulprasad Sen, DL Roy and Rajanikanta Sen.
Eminent cultural personality Dr. Sarwar Ali unveiled the album while Luva Nahid Choudhury, director general, Bengal Foundation, delivered welcome address. The album features five Atulprasad songs including “Moder Gorob Moder Asha”, “Momo Moner Bijoney” and “Murli KaNdey Radhey Radhe”; three Rajanikanta compositions like “Sokhirey Morom Poroshey” and “Prem-e Jol Hoye Jao Gole” and two DL Roy songs “Bela Boye Jaye” and “Aji Tomar Kachhey”.
Following the launching ceremony, Sifayetullah Mukul performed 11 songs which included compositions like “Shunao Tomar Amrito Bani”, “Ke Go Gahiley Poth-e”, “Mora Nachi Phul-e Phul-e” and “Aji Gao Mohageet” by the three poets.
On the flap of the album Chhayanaut president Dr. Sanjida Khatun has written: “Our interest towards the songs of three poets has increased following the victory of our Liberation War. From the eon of Language Movement Atul Prasad Sen composition 'Moder Gorob Moder Asha' becomes the song of Bangalee's hearts. DL Roy composition 'Dhono Dhanyo Pushpabhora' turned into one of our favourite patriotic songs while Rajanaikanta number 'Mayer Deya Mota Kapor' turned out to be one of the inspiring songs regarding our quest for liberation. Sifayetullah Mukul's latest album contains three poets' diverse songs themed on mother language, spirituality, devotion and love.”
