A surprise release!

Singing to himself, a rickshaw puller talks about the many alley ways he has to pass through while cycling his passengers to their destinations. The rickshaw puller remembers his beloved who is probably left behind at home, he remembers the love they felt for each other and how promises were broken. The video is very unlike the many we see nowadays springing up from the many platforms in Bangladesh. The graphical representation showcases a rickshaw puller with big dreamy eyes cycling through the many 'oli-golis', drowning his sorrow in work.

Not only is the folk number Aami rickshaw taani easy to listen to, but one can also relate to the song owing to the familiar sounds of the streets added to the ambience of the video. Moreover, Arnob plays with the harmonies, adds scales and multiple levels of voices – a signature of an Arnob composition and arrangement.

One would think that the music and video bundle that Arnob came up with is indeed very unique, an unconventional release and a courageous step taken by him, especially in an era where platforms believe in creating content – with tacky lyrics, over-the-budget- videos and loud presentations – to catch the eyes of the mass.

Musicians like Arnob need to rise more and create good music, create melody and words that would touch the hearts of the millions who wait for Bangla compositions they can relate to and can call their own, for instance in the case -- Aami rickshaw taani. Unfortunately for Arnob fans however, releases are slow or non-existent at times.

Nevertheless, Arnob's latest release now has his fans looking forward to the launching of his latest album Chele Dhora, which might release this year.
