TM Records looks to produce Bangla music with international standards

Renowned media personalities and couple Kaushik Hossain Taposh and Farzana Munni have started a music production company, TM Records, with an aim to produce Bangla songs in adherence with international standards.
The launching ceremony took place on Sunday at Star Cineplex, SKS Tower in Mohakhali. Indian High Commissioner Vikram Doraiswami inaugurated TM Records, in front of hundreds of musicians.

"I consider my acquaintance with the Gaanbangla family, a matter of good fortune. My warm gratitude to everyone for inviting me to such a cordial atmosphere. TM should imply, 'tremendous music' which will represent Bangla music to the whole world with its own magic in a unique way," mentioned the High Commissioner.
TM Records chairperson Farzana Munni talked about the importance of music, and how it transcends barriers.
"Music has neither boundaries nor limitations. The whole world has come a long way now and we do not want to be left behind. The way the music industry is being directed and going through changes, we want Bangla songs to adapt to those changes as well," mentioned Munni.
"TM Records is starting its journey with the aim of spreading Bangla music through melodies and music video presentations," added Munni.
The company, according to its owners, has already started working towards the goal of producing exemplary music. To impress the audience with their melodies, more than 50 songs have already been recorded with the voices of local artistes and world-class instruments.
The shooting of various music videos is also going on, where stars from both home and abroad are participating.
"We want to create a benchmark for Bengali music through our audio and visuals," says Taposh, "The whole world will be amazed by the portrayal of the immense amount of talent, caliber and merit existing in our country."
Four music videos were screened on the opening day of TM Records.
According to the newly founded organisation, they will release their projects at regular intervals.
