Kendrick Lamar releases Unmastered

On Thursday, speculation of a new Kendrick Lamar project surfaced after an album titled untitled “unmastered.” was posted on Lamar's Spotify page. Each of the eight album tracks are listed as untitled with the addition of dates that span 2013 to 2016. By Thursday evening, Top Dawg Entertainment CEO Anthony Tiffith confirmed that the album would be released later that night, and he made good on the promise when he shared a tweet, saying, “Go get it," with a link to the album.

Lamar performed an untitled track during the Grammys. He said that it came from one of the tracks that did not make “To Pimp a Butterfly”.

Lamar also performed “untitled 02” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and performed another untitled song from the album on The Colbert Report as the show's final musical guest.
