Radiohead has announced its first gig of 2017, and it's one that had been sold out for over a week by the time news broke. That's because Thom Yorke and company's first show of the year is at the Glastonbury Festival.

The mammoth British fest confirmed news on Thursday that Radiohead will be headlining on June 23 of next year. Hype was so big that Glasto sold out back on October 9, before the lineup had been revealed.

Fans started to speculate Radiohead was on tap when photos of “crop circles” in the style of Radiohead's “modified bear” logo started to pop up on social media. Then Glastonbury's official account confirmed the news, along with the finished product.

So far, Radiohead's Pyramid Stage set is Glastonbury 2017's only confirmed performance. They last played the fest in 2011 and headlined in 2003 and 1997.

Last year's Pyramid Stage headliners included Muse, Coldplay and Adele.
