SANJAY DUTT biopic characters revealed

Though Ranbir Kapoor's fantasy-adventure Jagga Jasoos is ready to hit cinemas in May, he is more in news for the “Sanjay Dutt” biopic. Rajkumar Hirani, Dutt's close friend and the director of Munnabhai franchise, is going to wield the megaphone for the project.

From Sonam Kapoor to Anushka Sharma, an impressive army of actors have been cast to play important roles in the Dutt biopic.

Though Hirani is trying to keep his project as secretive as he can, there is enough information doing the rounds about the film. Hindustan Times reports that apart from Ranbir playing Sanjay Dutt, Paresh Rawal will be seen as Sanjay Butt's father, Sunil Dutt while Manisha Koirala will play his mother, Nargis. Dia Mirza is playing his wife Maanyata, and Sonam Kapoor is said to be donning the role of yesteryears Bollywood heroine Tina Munim.  Karishma Tanna will be portraying Madhuri Dixit, and Anushka Sharma will be playing either a journalist or a lawyer. Vicky Kaushal is set to play a close friend if Sanjay Dutt.
