'Amar Shongskriti Amar Gorbo' at Shilpakala today

On the occasion of the ordination of the new committee of the Bangladesh Cultural Council, a discussion session and a cultural programme titled Amar Shongskriti Amar Gorbo will be held at Shilpakala at 5pm today.

Media Advisor to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, will attend the programme as the chief guest. Chairman of Bangladesh Press Council Justice, Mohammed Mumtaz Uddin Ahmed, chairman of Press Institute of Bangladesh and prominent journalist, Md Shah Alamgir and chairman of BTRC, Dr Shahjahan Mahmood are scheduled as special guests. Other special guests include president of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists, prominent journalist and cultural personality Molla Jalal, president of Dhaka Union of Journalists, Abu Jafar Surjo, president of Dhaka Reporters' Union, Saiful Islam, president of Crime Reporters Association of Bangladesh, Abu Saleh Akon, president of BCIC Officers' Welfare Association, Md Delwar Hossain, international award-winning social worker Dr Abdullah Khan Rony Kamal, Freedom Fighter Nur Ahmed and several actors and singers. Prominent cultural personality, additional secretary of Finance Ministry and president of the Bangladesh Cultural Council Pirzada Shahidul Harun, will chair the programme.
