Celebrating Life festival in Rajshahi

The “Celebrating Life” festival in Rajshahi was held  at the open precincts of Rajshahi University Shaheed Minar on December 19, drawing hundreds of people.

 A photography exhibition and musical show by the country's noted folk singer Chandana Majumder marked the festival.

 The festival was organised jointly by The Daily Star and Standard Chartered Bank. RU Teachers Students Cultural Center (TSCC) assisted the programme.

RU Vice Chancellor Prof M Mizan Uddin inaugurated the festival at a function held at the RU Martyrs Memorial Archives stage in the morning.

Professor Mizan opened the photography exhibition. Chandana Majumder performed Lalon songs including, "Dhonno Dhonno Boli”, “Khachar Bhitor Achin Pakhi", "Milon Hobe Koto Din-e”, other folk songs and songs from the film "Monpura".
