Chanchal Chowdhury One happy Argentina fan

Chanchal Chowdhury has earned many fans and admirers across the nation with his remarkable performances both on the small and the silver-screen. Interestingly, one game that the actor admires is football.  As he is devoted supporter of Argentina, Chowdhury is over the moon now that his favourite team has made it to the second round. He talks about his hopes for Argentina in a conversation with The Daily Star. 

How much do you enjoy watching football, especially the world cup now?

Chanchal: The world cup is hosted every four years and it is one of the most highly anticipated tournaments. Much like the rest of the world, I am gripped by the world cup fever as well. I really enjoy watching football.

Your favourite team Argentina has made it to the next round. How excited are you?

Chanchal: My son Shuddho and I both love Argentina. We watched their match against Nigeria together donning Argentina jerseys. Argentina's victory against Nigeria was a significant one. Needless to say, we are both very happy.

What would you like to say about Messi's performance?

Chanchal: I would say Messi's goal was the best one in this world cup so far. It was a great moment for him and his fans.

How do you feel about Argentina's overall performance in this world cup so far?

Chanchal: As a fan, it was tough for me to watch the previous matches of Argentina because their performance was not up to the mark. But after their match against Nigeria, I have grown more confident about them.  Most people in the country either love Brazil or Argentina. Although I am a devoted supporter of Argentina, I would like to convey my best wishes to Brazil.
