Ushering in the season of autumn, the country's leading cultural school Chhayanaut held a 'Sharat Utshab' (Autumn Festival) at Bakultola, Faculty of Fine Arts, Dhaka University. Teachers and students of the school welcomed the season with songs, dances and recitations.

The celebration began with a chorus of the Tagore song “Bishwa Bina Robey” by students of Chhayanaut.

Farzana Akhter Popy, Maksura Akher, Raiyan Binte Habib, Dipanjan Mukherji, Sutapa Saha, Sudip Sarkar, Avijit Das, Srabonti Shobovona, Saikat Mukherji, Semonti Monjari, Manas Bhattacharya and Sejuti Barua rendered solos at the event, while Koushik Saha and MandritaBiswas performed the only duet. There were a number of chorus numbers of well, which were embellished by group dance performances.

The programme ended with the National Anthem, and distribution of 'moa', a traditional snack.
