Dhaka University Festival in Kolkata

A 'Dhaka University Festival' will be held this December 16-17 in Kolkata's famous Rabindra Bharati University in Kolkata, India. A contingent of 25 students, teachers and chairperson of the Dance and Music departments of Dhaka University will start off for Kolkata tonight to participate in the festival.

Dhaka University Vice Chancellor Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique will also be present at the event, as will Dance Department Chair Rezwana Chowdhury Bonnya and Music Department Chair Dr. Mohsina Khanam Lina Taposhi.

The Dance Department will present the padabali jatra “Sonai Madhob” based on the Mymensingh Geetika, while the Music Department will present folk and patriotic songs.
