Did Ed Sheeran wed in secret?

Ed Sheeran recently sparked rumours that he has married his fiancée Cherry Seaborn in secret. He confirmed that he proposed to his former schoolmate at the end of last year. Now he has seemingly “admitted” that they have already wed in a secret ceremony. In an interview to promote his new film Songwriter, Sheeran was quizzed on his wedding plans.

The interviewer asked the star: “What about the wedding details? Have you picked a date? Do you know where, do you know when yet?'

Keeping silent, the singer shrugged before pointing to a silver band on his ring finger as he tried to fight a beaming smile. "Alright! Thats exciting!" the interviewer remarked with Sheeran coyly replying: “Yeah.”

When asked how he managed to keep the nuptials a secret, he said: “Well, I never really do anything too public anyway.” The reporter continued to say: “That's awesome,” before Ed thanked him, leading fans to assume it is a confirmation of the wedding.

Earlier also in an Instagram Q and A, a fan asked Sheeran about the date of his wedding to which he cheekily replied, “Maybe it's already happened.”
