Farooque diagnosed with tuberculosis

National Film Award-winning actor and member of parliament Farooque has been diagnosed with tuberculosis, commonly known as TB. He is currently undergoing treatment at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore.

Farooque was taken to Singapore on September 13. His wife Farhana Farooque accompanied him. After arriving at the hospital, both of them were quarantined for 14 days. "A team of four doctors are treating me, and I am feeling much better," Farooque shared with The Daily Star.

He will be under observation for another four weeks. The actor has requested everyone to pray for his fast recovery.

He was admitted to United Hospital and Evercare Hospital in Dhaka, before being taken to Singapore for further treatment.
