Fun times with friends and family
With the Durga Puja on us, the Hindu community's biggest festival of the year, stars are also gearing up to celebrate just like the everyday person. Moushumi Nag, the popular actress of the small screen, spoke to The Daily Star about her plans to celebrate the Puja. Excerpts:
“I am looking forward to having a blast this festival. I have bought a number of saris for the occasion, even from Kolkata.
“I will be in Dhaka for one day of the Puja, and visit the mandaps all around. I will also visit my parents in Ashulia, where many relatives come to visit and it's always a good time.
“What I'm looking forward to most this Puja is visiting Mirzapur. I studied and spent my childhood at the Bharateswari Homes boarding school. It was seven years ago when I visited there during Durga Puja. I am in touch with all my friends there, and I made plans with them this year. They will all be visiting. It will also be a chance to see all my teachers.
“I am really looking forward to having a great time this Durga Puja.”
