Hashibur Reza Kallol appointed Chairman of Kolkata’s Tele Cine International Short film Festival Jury Board

Renowned Bangladeshi film director, Hashibur Reza Kallol is appointed as the Chairman of the Kolkata’s Tele Cine International Short Film Festival Jury Board. The director was also appointed to select the top ten best short films from Bangladesh for the festival.

Renowned Bangladeshi film director, Hashibur Reza Kallol is appointed as the Chairman of the Kolkata's Tele Cine International Short Film Festival Jury Board. The director was also appointed to select the top ten best short films from Bangladesh for the festival.

"The new generation of filmmakers are producing extraordinary short films and through this festival, these will now reach the global audience," shares Hashibur Reza Kallol to The Daily Star. "These young directors will lead the future of cinema."

Shahnewaz Kakoli, Jyotika Jyoti, Saymon Sadik and Sadat Hossain from Bangladesh were nominated as members of the jury board. Ananda Kutum was selected as the coordinator.

"This achievement reflects positively on my career, I am happy to be appointed as the Chairman," expresses Kallol. Mrinmoy Kanjilal, General Secretary of Tele Cine Awards, Kolkata, sent Hashibur the appointed letter on December 29.

"We will be receiving short films from January 1-15 and then top ten short films will be selected," says Hashibur Reza Kallol. "The best three short films will receive awards at Kolkata's Nandan."

Hashibur Reza Kallol previously served as a jury board member for Bangladesh India Film Festival.
