“He gave me a lovely sharee embroidered by his mother!” – Bhabna
Talented artiste Ashna Habib Bhabna has mesmerised audiences with her acting prowess for many years on television. She had made her debut in the film industry with the Animesh Aich directorial Voyongkor Sundor. On the premiere show of that movie, she met a fan. She shared memories from that encounter in a recent conversation with The Daily Star.
On August 3, 2018, we had the premiere show of Voyongkor Sundor at STAR Cineplex in Bashundhara City Mall. It was my birthday too. I was there with my team, waiting for the movie to start. In the meantime, one of the assistant directors informed me that two of my male fans are waiting for me outside the hall. They were not allowed to enter because they did not have any passes. They continuously requested the security officers to let them in, as they wanted to meet me. When I got to know about the matter, I immediately asked the security officers to let them in. One of them was holding a camera to click a picture with me and the other one was in tears! Later, I got to know that they came from Comilla to meet me, and they have been waiting for me since morning.
As I was very actively promoting Voyongkor Sundor, I had posted about the premiere on my Facebook profile. That is how they got to know that I will be at Bashundhara City Mall. When I met both of them, one of them, named Tushar, gave me a lovely sharee embroidered by his mother!
He also knew that I didn't work in television for two and half years as I was preparing myself for the film. I was really touched by his gift. He also operates my official fan page. I haven't worn the sharee yet. I am still waiting for a special occasion for that. Since then, Tushar has stayed in touch with me.
