Making her way into the showbiz world with dance, Nadia Ahmed continues to stay true to her roots, while juggling an impressive acting career. She has also made a mark in modelling.  As the nation copes with the coronavirus crisis, Nadia is trying her best to stay positive.

Her last shoot was for the television serial, Bokulpur, on March 15. Nowadays, she is spending her time cooking, watching films and reading articles at home. "I have also been praying regularly. Now that I am at home so much, I am getting to spend a lot more time with my loved ones," adds Nadia. "My parents live abroad, and I am always worried about them. But, fortunately, they are doing well. I talk to them every day over the phone. My sister came to Bangladesh to visit me, but she couldn't return amid the shutdown and the travel restrictions. Subsequently, she is staying with me right now."

As an executive member of Actors' Equity Bangladesh, Nadia was a part of an initiative to distribute financial and food aid to nearly 300 struggling artistes, during this crisis. "We plan to arrange more distributions before Eid-ul-Fitr," she adds.

A passionate dancer, Nadia further spoke about celebrating International Dance Day differently, this year. "I am usually really busy on International Dance Day. Needless to say, I was disheartened as there were no celebratory programmes this time," she says. "Despite everything, I worked on a dance production from home. Tareen, Ishita, Monalisa, Laila Hasan and eight other artistes were also a part of it. The production was arranged by Shohag. Even though I missed shooting and attending programmes initially, I am habituated to this lifestyle now." She further requested her fans and well-wishers to not go out of the house, without any emergencies.
