Emma Watson had never acted professionally before she was cast in the Harry Potter series as Hermione Granger. Author JK Rowling supported Emma for the role after her first screen test. However, Emma had to come in for a total of eight auditions before she was cast as Hermione. Emma had to continue her studies during filming of the Harry Potter series and she completed her A-levels with high grades. In 2005 when she was 15, Emma was the youngest person to be featured on Teen Vogue Magazine. She also lent her voice to Princess Pea for “The Tale of Desperaux”.
