"Jatra Shilper Nobojatra" concludes today at BSA

A Jatra festival titled "Jatra Shilper Jobojatra" is currently underway at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA). A total of twenty-one troupes are participating in this four-day festival. This is the 12th iteration of the event.

A Jatra festival titled "Jatra Shilper Jobojatra" is currently underway at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA). A total of twenty-one troupes are participating in this four-day festival. This is the 12th iteration of the event.

Artistes from all over the country have come together with their performances on the premises of BSA. Mou opera from Tangail staged the evergreen love story "Laili Mojnu", whereas Panchagarh's the Lion Opera has presented "Debi Sultana".

Payra Jatra Unit from Barguna, Desh Bangla troupe from Thakurgaon, and Korotoa Zatradol from Bogura have staged the plays "Gunai Bibi", "Kashem Mala" and "Jail Theke Bolchi", respectively. Besides these, six Jatra teams from various parts of Bangladesh have presented "Bahula Lokhindor" in their own unique way.

Bagura's Shonali Natyashongstha will stage "Nikon Mala", Khulna's Bonani Opera will showcase "Nihoto Golaap", Narsingdi's Shivpur Zatra will stage "Alo Moto Prem Kumar" and Brahmanbaria's Papi Opera will present "Soon Dulal" from 3 pm onwards today.

The festival concludes today at 10 pm.
