As the Durga Puja, the biggest religious festival for the Hindus in Bangladesh, approaches, stars of the entertainment arena are gearing up for the festivities. Jyotika Jyoti is one of those who love diving into the celebrations. She shared her Puja plans with The Daily Star:

“I will be in my native town of Mymensingh this Puja. Whenever I have the option, I prefer spending it with family in Mymensingh. I usually do not get to visit there throughout the year due to busy shooting schedules, but I plan my schedule ahead so I don't miss it this time of year.”

“I love giving and receiving gifts in the festive seasons. I have bought a bunch of gifts for family and loved ones, and looking forward to getting some myself! As far as my own shopping goes, I got myself a sari.”

“The best thing about Puja is getting to meet so many familiar faces at once, chatting and merrymaking without a worry. And then there's the delicious food. I usually go to the temples, and pray that everyone stay well.”

“The days of Durga Puja are nostalgic for me … they take me back to childhood days.”
