Kabori hospitalised after contracting Covid-19

Renowned actor Sarah Begum Kabori is currently admitted at the capital’s Kurmitola General Hospital, after testing positive for Covid-19.

Renowned actor Sarah Begum Kabori is currently admitted at the capital's Kurmitola General Hospital, after testing positive for Covid-19.

The news was confirmed by her personal assistant, Nur Uddin. "Kabori ma'am came down with a fever and body ache earlier this week. In the meantime, the results of her Covid-19 test came out positive," he said. "She was admitted to the hospital on April 5. Currently, she is staying at a cabin there." 

According to Nur Uddin, Kabori will be shifted to the ICU of Sheikh Russel National Gastroliver Institute & Hospital today (April 8).  

Kabori, who ruled the silver screen for decades, made her debut with "Sutorang" in 1964. She is also a film producer and director.

She returned to film direction after 14 years with the government-granted movie, "Ei Tumi Shei Tumi".
